Registration Fee: $25 per child

Registration forms are available in the school office, as well as at the District office.  You will need to provide proof of birth, schedule of immunizations and basic student information.  The $25 registration fee is a non-refundable charge to reserve a spot for your child.   The fees are applied to classroom materials and supplies.  Tuition is paid one month in advance and is based on a 10-month schedule (September – June). Short months such as December or April require the same tuition, as do longer months.  Remember, you are securing a slot in the program for your child and the program runs all school year long. Registration plus first and last month tuition is required before a child can enter into the program.

Children must turn either 3 or 4 by August 31, prior to the start of the school year.

The Dieringer preschool program is separate from K-8 education and is completely supported by tuition.  The Dieringer School District does not include the preschool children in their district enrollment totals nor do we receive state funding for these children.  Non-payment or delinquent payment of tuition will result in withdrawal of your child from the program.  Dieringer cannot provide transportation for preschool students.

The curriculum will emphasize activities designed to promote social, language and physical skill development for all children.  Snacks will be provided daily. If you have special dietary requirements for your child, please let us know and we will work with you in providing this.  Children should wear play clothes and bring a spare set of clothes to be kept at school.  Children will need to be toilet trained, although we certainly know that “accidents” can and do happen.  A small backpack or bag should be brought to school each day to carry notes, papers and so forth.  You will want to check this bag each day to see what is new and review your child’s work.  The backpack is a good way for us to share notes and communicate with you each day.

Our classroom will be staffed with a certified teacher and an instructional assistant at all times.  We welcome and encourage parent volunteers to join us if possible.  There will be students with disabilities, as identified in the district’s child find process, included in the preschool program.  This inclusion will provide all students important social learning opportunities.
