Principal's Message

Welcome to Dieringer Heights Elementary School, home of the Cougars and Cougar Cubs. I am blessed to be the principal at Dieringer Heights. It is with pleasure that I continue to serve this community. Please know the door at Dieringer Heights is always open. I will always value your input, thoughts and feedback throughout the year. I look forward to partnering together with the staff, students and community to best support our Dieringer children.

Dieringer Heights is a fantastic learning environment for all of the districts more than 500 Early Childhood, Kindergarten, fourth and fifth grade students. We provide a strong academic program designed to meet the needs of all our learners. It is our mission to…”Increase the achievement of all students—Academically, Socially and Emotionally”.

The staff of Dieringer Heights has very high levels of expertise. They operate in strong grade level and building teams; working cooperatively to provide students with exceptional instructional experiences. The talents and skills of each student and staff member alike are fostered so that learning is maximized. In addition to the regular classroom instruction, students attend classes in music, physical education and library. Our special needs programs are available for qualifying students as well. We are fortunate to have a high level of technology available to our staff and students to enhance their learning. This also has been made possible by the wonderful support of the community.

Over the course of the school year there are many opportunities for students to become involved. We have a Student Council, School Newspaper, Math Club, Science Club and chorus to name only a few. We also participate in supporting local and world needs such as raising money for the Red Cross and American Cancer Society and collecting food to be donated to the local food banks. We are proud of our very active student body. We are also fortunate to have a dynamic PTA and supportive community.

The Dieringer School District and Dieringer Heights in particular is a wonderful place to be a student. We are proud to offer a safe, caring environment, which allows children to experience the joy of learning in a positive place. The Dieringer Heights staff welcomes you and your children to cross the “Threshold of Learning”. I look forward to meeting or reconnecting with you throughout the school year.
